UV Resistant Vinyl Options
Outdoor exposure to sunlight can cause standard clear vinyl to yellow, stiffen, and eventually crack over time. If your job ticket holders, tag holders, or document sleeves are used outdoors or in areas with strong sunlight, selecting the right material matters.
What Does UV-Resistant Vinyl Do?
UV-resistant vinyl includes stabilizers that help slow down the damage sunlight causes to the plastic. This helps reduce yellowing and brittleness from long-term sun exposure.
Important: UV-resistant vinyl protects the plastic from breaking down. It does not block UV rays from reaching the documents inside the holder. If document fading is a concern, consider using color vinyl panels or flaps that physically block sunlight.
Sewn and Heat-Welded Options Available
UV-resistant material can be used in both sewn (stitched edge) and heat seal (welded edge) construction styles. This UV material upgrade option applies to the vinyl itself — not just one specific product size.
- Sewn job ticket holders
- Hanging strap holders
- Waterproof press-lock tag holders
- Magnetic or adhesive-backed sleeves
- Custom document sizes
When Should You Consider UV-Resistant Vinyl?
- Outdoor storage yards
- Fleet maintenance areas
- Construction sites
- Marine environments
- Facilities with strong direct sunlight exposure
If your current holders are yellowing or becoming brittle, UV-resistant vinyl can significantly extend the life of your holders.
